Welcome to 16 Hayle Terrace, a lovely terraced house, built in the summer of  1833,  which is in a central and convenient  location. The house has a private parking space at the end of the enclosed rear garden as well as on-street parking at the front.  The house is conveniently located for  local restaurants, shops and pubs. Four miles of golden beach is only a flat ten minutes  walk away, past the large sheltered harbour of Hayle. There is so much to do and see, and Hayle is ideally situated being only 10 minutes from St Ives and Penzance on the south coast. Also Lands End, The Lizard or up the north coast to Perranporth and Newquay  are all within  half an hour’s travelling. No 16 is also only a ten minute walk from Hayle station which is on the main line from London. St Ives, Penzance and Truro and many other locations are easily accessible from the  bus stop  which is only 50 yards from the house.

The house sleeps four people; bedroom 1 has a king size bed and bedroom 2 has two single beds which can be pushed together to form another double bed if wanted.  We have fast fibre broadband with WiFi to keep in touch with the world.    We  provide linen for the beds and towels.

We do also welcome dogs – our own dog is very happy in the house and garden.  The area is particularly suited to dog walking although the main beach is seasonal – but from 2020 Cornwall Council have revised the dates you can walk dogs on all the beaches.   The dog ban will only cover July and August and the times of  day have also been shortened so will now be from 10am to 6pm during these months.  There are, however, many other beaches within a mile walk or a very short drive where dogs are welcome all year round.  Any Blue Flag beaches are continuing to ban dogs from 15th May until 31st September.

No 16 Hayle Terrace has uninterrupted views over Copperhouse Pool, one of Hayle’s two large estuaries.  These are the warmest estuaries in England and are a haven for wild birds throughout the year.  Many interesting and rare birds can be  spotted all year round within metres from the front door.  On the opposite side of the Pool is the King George V Memorial Walk, a sub-tropical garden which has a wide variety of plants and flowers to be seen at any time of the year.
